  1. ok as far as it goes but it dos not go very far don t take a club that puts the hazard within range and tee it up on the same side as the hazard nothing you won t find in a general golf book has lots of references to Eric s site and many of his other products Not a waste of money but not great value.

  2. Eric Jones writes a common sense, easy to follow book with guaranteed results if you take his advice I know because, after reading his concise suggestions with diagrams, I went out and put his expertise to use I shot one of the best rounds I had all summer and, it was stress free as I was navigating the course and putting myself in a better position to score If you re a golfer or want to take up the game, this is one book that should be in your library or golf bag.

  3. Not a very useful book, maybe if he combined all his golf writing in one book it would be a better read.I never like buying a book and while reading the author leaves info out and recommends to buy his other books.

  4. Don t get me wrong there is plenty of beef in the book. However, there is way too much of extraneous padding Remember when you used to do term papers And they had to be a certain number pages Well that is how Eric approached this book He has some valid points and I took them to heart But if a book was ever in need of the Cliff Notes Readers Digest version, this was it.I Suspect all the books in his series are like that but I will never know.I am guessing that if he trimmed 50% of the fluff and di [...]

  5. Awesome Learned about strategy than I ever knew would apply to me i was always a wack it as hard as you can then play your shot wherever it landed I now realize it doesn t matter how far you can hit it if you don t land it somewhere that will give you an easy next shot Thanks for the info truly awesome, a great golfing aid.

  6. Course management is not something I think about often while golfing I usually just like to hit the fairway, hit the green, stay out of the water, etc This book gives you specific, practical advice on how to think about where your shot and future shots may go I m sure I ll be able to shave off a few shots off my score.

  7. Always heard TV announcers talking about ideal landing areas short siding and staying patient never realized what all that meant until I read this book Great explanations of hole design from both the course architect AND player s point of views Translated a hole s weaknesses and strengths and the best way to navigate them.I ve not looked or played a golf course since then the same way I now understand the way the hole was meant to be played and what shots are needed 2 3 stroke improvement alone [...]

  8. This is a good, but simple introduction to the topic I was left wanting information As other reviews stated, the author pads the content with references to his other books and by repeating information However, the Kindle price is reasonable and I am considering one of his other books.

  9. I was expecting much on a strategy and course management versus different holes and hazards Bringing people following their handicap to different way to approach short and long par 3 and so on.What are the trick the architect is bringing us.The book does not bring exactly and extensively what I was expecting but give relevant information.Worth to read and easy to read.
