This book is an excellent way to help oneself discover healing on their own.It doesn t take the place of therapy yet it does take the place of the torment.Having PTSD and suffering through the many emotional torments, this book has helped me identify touchstone triggers and get rid of themUnderstanding the underlying cause of the trauma is quite freeing.

This book has 154 pages and only 35 pages of actual content The rest is notebook style pages for the reader to fill in That isn t prompted questions either It is labeled as journal Very disappointed The author has NO psychological training which is extremely dangerous that they are providing this content and Katherine Andler are waiting for lawsuits with this book.

The book is short, clear, and well written I am not personally comfortable with the idea of treating PTS and major trauma on your own, without a therapist, but the book gives an excellent overview of the process Readers can decide for themselves whether EMDR is right for them, and also whether elements of it can be usefully incorporated into other therapies.


  4. This book is a total joke, and I m sorry I paid for it She starts by saying that she is NOT a therapist, and after 30 40 pages of loosely spaced text with some lists lots of blank spaces, you get to the meat of the book over 100 pages of blank, unlined pages


  5. It is great to add to a continuel healing lifestyle Especially if trauma has dominated your childhood You can heal, and this book is so useful.

  7. A book of repetitive work sheet pages Page 104 to 184 are simply ruled sheets of paper Only the first 38 pages have text which are informative I would not recommend this to my clients.

Extremely good, clear, and very helpful outlines the therapeutic method in accessible and managable sections for those who want to use EMDR for self help.This book also makes clear that if someone has a severe mental health problem, or extremely disturbed symptoms from PTSD, then trying to treat one s own symptoms is not the way forward.
